Women’s Health
Cervical Screening
If you are female and aged between 25-74 you require a regular cervical screening test (previously know as a pap smear). The recommendation is to have this routinely done every 5years.
This can now also be done as a self-collect swab (It’s really easy and is similar to a covid swab).
We have two female GP’s and our womens health nurse Felicity to help you with cervical screening and what is right for you.

The implant (implanon NXT) slowly releases the hormone progestogen. It is more than 99% effective at preventing pregnancy and can last for up to 3 years. The implant is inserted (injected) under the skin of your inner upper arm by a trained doctor. A local anesthetic is used so that you will not feel pain when this is happening.
