How to prepare for telephone or video medical appointments

1.  Find a quiet private space, where you will be comfortable.

Your Doctor/Nurse may ask you personal questions.

2.  Allow plenty of time

As with any medical appointment due to medical emergencies the clinical staff may not run exactly to time. Please be patient they will call you if telephone appointment or send you the email link to your video appointment.

3.  Write a little list

This type of appointment is new to us all, so if it helps write a note of what you wanted before your appointment.

4.  Check your understanding

Telehealth consultations require extra clarity. If unsure, please ask questions or repeat back instructions to your Doctor or nurse to ensure you understand the advice or instructions

5.  Telehealth is new for everyone

Telehealth is new to you are your clinical team. If you have any questions or feedback, please let us know so that we can improve our service.
